Who we are
Tech Hosting Guide is an independent web hosting review publication owned and operated by İsmail Salgın, an individual based in İzmir, Türkiye. There is no holding company and no undisclosed parent: one named person is responsible for everything published here, and his details are in the footer of every page.
The site exists for a simple reason: we could not find a hosting review anywhere that would tell us what a plan actually costs at renewal.
We are not a hosting company. We do not sell hosting, resell hosting, or white-label anyone else's hosting. We have no ownership relationship, no corporate relationship, and no editorial relationship with any provider we cover.
How we are funded
This site is funded by affiliate commissions. When a reader buys a hosting plan after clicking a link on this site, the provider pays us a referral fee. The reader pays exactly the same price they would pay going direct.
We say this loudly and in several places because the alternative — burying it in a footer — is how the affiliate content industry earned its reputation. Our methodology page sets out precisely which parts of our process commission revenue touches, which is none of them, and how we keep it that way.
We accept no paid placements, no sponsored reviews, no paid links, and no payment in exchange for a score. If a provider offers, we say no, and if the offer is interesting enough we write about the offer.
Editorial independence
No provider reviewed on this site has any influence over its score, its ranking, its publication date, or its content. Providers are not shown drafts. Providers cannot buy a re-test. Providers who dislike a review are welcome to send a factual correction, which we will check and, if correct, publish.
Every review on this site would read exactly the same way if every affiliate programme in the industry shut down tomorrow.
Trademarks and brand relationships
Tech Hosting Guide references the names of hosting providers because that is what a review publication does. Those names are the trademarks of their respective owners. Our use of them is nominative — that is, we use a company's name to identify the company we are writing about, which is exactly what trademark law provides for.
We do not use any provider's logo, colour scheme, typography, or brand imagery. We are not an authorised reseller, agent, or partner of any provider. We are not the official site of any provider, and every review page says so explicitly.
