This Privacy Policy explains what personal data İsmail Salgın ("we", "us", "our"), operator of techhostingguide.site, collects when you use this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller — veri sorumlusu under Turkish law — for this website is:
We are established in Türkiye, so this site is operated under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Law No. 6698). Where we offer content to visitors in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we also apply the GDPR standard to that processing. Where the two differ, we apply whichever gives you the stronger protection.
2. What we collect
2.1 Information you give us
If you contact us by email or through our contact form, we receive your name, your email address, and whatever you write in your message. We use it only to respond to you and to keep a record of the correspondence.
2.2 Information collected automatically
Our web server, operated on our behalf by our hosting provider, records standard access logs for every request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, HTTP status code, referring page, and browser user-agent string. These logs exist for security, abuse prevention, and diagnostics. They are retained for a limited period and then deleted.
2.3 Analytics and advertising
Subject to your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this site in aggregate, and Google Ads conversion measurement to understand which advertising campaigns bring readers here. These services may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and may process your IP address and device information.
If you do not consent, these services are not loaded and set nothing. We implement Google Consent Mode v2, which means advertising and analytics storage are set to denied by default before any Google tag executes, and are only switched to granted if and when you choose to allow them.
2.4 What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data. Not to anyone, for any price.
- We do not operate user accounts, so we hold no passwords.
- We do not process payments on this site, so we never see card details.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
- We do not build advertising profiles of individual readers ourselves.
3. Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. This site uses:
- Strictly necessary storage. A single entry recording your cookie choice, so we do not ask again on every page. This cannot be switched off because without it we cannot honour your preference.
- Analytics cookies (optional). Set by Google Analytics 4 only after you consent. They measure page views and traffic sources.
- Advertising cookies (optional). Set by Google Ads only after you consent. They measure whether an advertising click led to a visit.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page, or by clearing site data in your browser.
4. Affiliate links and third-party tracking
This site contains affiliate links. When you click one, you leave this website and the destination provider may set its own cookies or record a referral identifier in order to attribute a subsequent purchase to us. That processing is carried out by the destination provider under its own privacy policy, over which we have no control. We recommend reading the privacy policy of any provider before purchasing. Our affiliate disclosure explains the commercial relationship in full.
5. Legal bases for processing (UK/EU GDPR)
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — analytics and advertising cookies and the processing they involve.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — server access logs, for the security and stability of the website, balanced against your rights.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — responding to correspondence you initiate.
6. International transfers
Google's advertising and analytics services may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where such transfers occur from the UK or the European Economic Area, they rely on the transfer mechanisms Google publishes for its services, including Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable.
7. Retention
- Server access logs: retained for a limited operational period, then deleted.
- Email correspondence: retained for as long as needed to handle the matter and any follow-up, then deleted.
- Analytics data: retained according to the retention setting configured in our Google Analytics 4 property.
- Consent record: stored in your browser for up to 180 days, after which we ask again.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; have it corrected; have it erased; restrict or object to its processing; receive it in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
Under KVKK Article 11 you additionally have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information about that processing, to learn its purpose and whether it is used accordingly, to know any third parties to whom it is transferred, and to request correction, deletion or destruction. You may apply to us using the contact details above, and you may lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK Kurumu).
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, you have the rights described in the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, including the right to know, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA.
To exercise any right, email contact@techhostingguide.site. We respond within one month.
9. Security
This site is served over HTTPS with HTTP Strict Transport Security enabled. We apply standard security response headers, keep server software patched, and restrict administrative access. No system is perfectly secure, and we make no absolute guarantee, but we take the protection of the limited data we hold seriously.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date below and, where the change is material, note it prominently on the site.
